Khao Sok National Park & Cheow Lan Lake

(Thailand) - 4D/3N - Rating: (Very) Easy

Fri 19-Jan-2018

Group size: Maximum 27 pax - 2 spots available

Khao Sok National Park was established in 1980 and is located on the

land bridge between Central Thailand and Malaysia. It is one of the

oldest rainforests in the world. The limestone, or 'karst', mountains

have a moderate elevation and create a magnificent backdrop for

waterfalls and the Cheow Lan Lake.

This is rather an adventure trip in which water activities play an

important role. The short scheduled hikes will definitely suit

beginners and less experienced hikers as well.

Upon arriving in Surat Thani airport we will be transferred to the

Ratchaprapha Dam where we will board a longboat for an excursion

on the Cheow Lan Lake. Enjoy the scenic boat tour to the fullest...!

After that we'll have ample of time for relaxing, swimming, even

kayaking before we set off for an evening safari followed by dinner.

We will spend the night in a floating 'bungalow'.

We jump on the raft the next morning for an early morning exploration on the water, followed by a cave

trek. In the afternoon we head back to pier where we will catch transport to Khao Sok, where we will spend

the night.

We start the new day with a relatively short hike in the Khlong Phanom National Park, about ten kilometers

away from the entrance of Khao Sok National Park.

During the hike, which will be moderate but with steep up- and downhills, some spectacular views of

limestone cliffs will await you.

In the afternoon Cath will take you for some river tubing provided that the water level in the river is high

enough (January is the dry season...)

Early the next morning, we will get our transfer to the airport .
